Little Lunch --> BIG IMPACT
We work with local organizations from time to time when they're looking to reach out to the Latino community.
One of our favorite organizations is Big Brothers Big Sisters, and they're getting set for their fundraiser: Little Lunch.
WHEN: Thursday, March 26, 11:30 am
WHERE: Sheraton Seattle Hotel
WHY: They need your help in their effort transform schools, communities--essentially transforming the way kids grow up in the Puget Sound region through their mentorship programs.
And starting last year, Big Brothers Big Sisters has placed a special emphasis on recruiting Latino "Bigs" to help support the Latino growth we've seen among children locally.
Be a part of this amazing effort! Click here to register for the luncheon.

Big Brothers Big Sisters: 200 Latino matches & growing!
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Latino Advisory Council event Friday evening at The Local Vine in Belltown was a class act all the way--great people, tasty bites, a warm fireplace, and I personally enjoyed the nicest glass of Malbec ever. Saw a lot of familiar faces and it was great, also, to meet some new folks as well--most of them BBBS staff.
I was so excited to learn that, of the 1200 total matches of "Bigs" with "Littles," 200 of them are Latino pairings! Hispanic outreach is a relatively new but concerted effort for the local organization so it just goes to show what a driven group of professionals can do to get the word out and make things happen!
Visit their site and see what they're up to!

Attracting Latinos: Big Brothers Big Sisters
We're really excited to see the progress made by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, a wonderful, established organization which has really made a big effort over the past year-plus to reach out to Latino kids and enhance its program to include "Bigs" that are more representative of our actual community.
This evening they're celebrating the Latino Mentoring Advisory Committee and we're looking forward to hearing from Ceci Lusardi, the Associate Director for Hispanic Mentoring of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
We encourage Latinos and other community members to get to know the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound organization, and get involved to help give our local kids a great start!
